I'm Tired!

I am feeling it today. No, not the warm fuzzy feelings I should have as a mother, but instead, pure exhaustion. I am tired of the fights, the screaming, the choosing not to listen, the "I don't want that for dinner", the "You're not my friend anymore", need I go on???

What is a mother to do when you feel like you have tried EVERYTHING to get through, and NOTHING works?

Ignore? Check.
Scream? Check.
Walk away? Check.
Threaten? Check.
Confiscate? Check.
Time Out? (LOL!) Check.

Help!

Because I'm The Mommy! That's Why!!!

Why is it that children feel like they don't have to listen to something you say the first twelve times you ask and then when you finally get their attention (usually by screaming at them to LISTEN!!!) they ask...

WHY?

Why!?! Please tell me you didn't ask me that.

Do I really have to explain myself to my children??? Shouldn't they just do it because I am the Mom and I asked them to??? (hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahaha) Well, maybe that part only works in Hollywood, but I would really like it to catch on at my house.

Sometimes Life Isn't Fair. Shocking, I Know.

So why is it that as soon as you get settled, make life long friends, and dig your roots in deep, after being afraid to do so for so long, do plans change???

It just doesn't seem fair that after making great friends and getting our hearts tangled up here, that it is time for us to move.

Insurance Companies Bite!

So, I posted this on my family blog already, but I am still FUMING!!

Who do they think they are? What are average parents who don't make millions of dollars supposed to do??? This stuff is expensive! No wonder they don't want to cover it anymore.

There is no way they can argue the "this isn't medically necessary" point. It sure as hell is!!

Am I wrong to be so upset???

THE PILE OF DIRT IS GONE!!!

Want to know what I did today? Too bad, I'm going to tell you anyway. 

I don't know what got into me today. I started with the monthly scrubbing of my car. You know, pretzels under the car seats, sticky I don't know what everywhere, etc, etc... I even washed the fingerprints off the windows. Being out in the garage reminded me that I have been meaning to sweep it up. So I swept the entire garage! Seriously insane, I know!!! The plants in the flower bed are mostly dead and a serious mess! So, I cleaned them up a bit. 

Then I spotted the pile O'DIRT!!! 

My sweet lovable hubby has worked soooooo hard to complete our backyard. It has been done for quite some time now. He did all the work himself and saved us tons of money and I'm so grateful for that. He really is the BEST!!! I have nothing to complain about really!?!? Except the left-over dirt that has been sitting on my driveway for months now. I have been so patient knowing that one of these days my hubby will dispose of it. Right? How long must a girl wait? Well, like I said, I don't know what got into me today. I picked up the shovel and went to town. The dirt is now in the flower-bed. The driveway is clean. My back is in knots but I'm happy it is DONE!!! 

4 a.m.

I hate 4 a.m.!!!!
